A bright, fresh change that encompasses a modern farmhouse style was these homeowners’ wishes when it came to their kitchen transformation! They came to us looking for guidance to bring their 90s era oak kitchen cabinets up to date with their modern style. Originally they wanted to modify some cabinets and paint them all to match. After doing some homework, we discovered it wouldn’t cost much more to replace them with new cabinets customized to their wishes and fit their space the most ideally.
To create their modern farmhouse kitchen style, we added two-tone cabinets. We then installed beautiful honed soapstone countertops, a farmhouse sink, a beautiful bridge faucet that nods to a more vintage style.
The homeowners also love the live edge wood accents, so we installed a live-edge walnut bar top at the kitchen peninsula and coordinated walnut floating shelves in the kitchen that were distressed to give them a well-worn, lived-in feel. White large-format subway tiles make the cabinets and shelving shine in this gorgeous kitchen.
Custom light fixtures from Rejuvenation light up the space, and undercabinet lighting keeps task lighting right where they need it. We made a few other changes to create privacy for the master bedroom and to enhance the lighting in the kitchen and dining room. We couldn’t be happier with this farmhouse chic kitchen transformation, and we are so glad these homeowners love their home a little more!
